AlternativeSoft - The Company:
Founded in 2005, the company first sold software in January of the
year. At that time, the company was run by Laurent Favre and Stephan
Joehri, along with a team of 3 developers. By 2006, we sold to more
than 20 clients, mainly concentrated in Switzerland and the US. In
2007, we expanded our operation in the UK, doubled our headcount of
programmers and were profitable. In 2008, the largest US bank
selected our software. In 2009, the success continues as the second
largest UK pension fund and the second largest US pension fund
selected our software. In 2010, the company's growth continued and
the second largest Swiss bank and the largest European company
selected our software. In 2012, we doubled our sales team in our
Canary Wharf office, UK and added four new developers. In 2013, we
sold to the largest US pension fund.
AlternativeSoft - Software Platform:
We are the leader in software solutions for (i) portfolio
construction with funds, (ii) ETFs, mutual funds, hedge funds and
fund of hedge funds selection. Our platform is linked to all hedge
funds' databases, Bloomberg, Morningstar Long Only, Lyxor, eVestment
and Albourne. Some of our databases are updated daily. This is due
to the web interface we have created between our software platform
and all the hedge fund databases. Our users are rapidly able to
build a portfolio with low downside risks using ETFs, mutual funds,
futures, hedge funds and fund of fund. The process can be done with
ease.
